Don't forget the Suitcase Rummage is coming up on the 4th of July!!



I can't wait especially since a pesky chest infection kept me away from the June market. I am hoping to have a few new items to add to the suitcase this time and will post some pics soon.

Flea Market Finds...

I have been reading about some great Flea Market Finds over at the lovely blog Her Library Adventures for a little while now and thought I might play along.

I recently came across this little gem while vising my parents for lunch. Of course I had to drop into the op shop which just happened to be on the way (I could not resist).

After a short time poking around I decided to check on my poor husband who happened to be along for the ride and there sitting right next to him was this little beauty:






Just what every home needs, a Squirrel shaped nut cracker set. I have not seen such a kitsch and slightly daggy item in a long time. I had to have it :)

The squirrel holds all the utensils you could need to crack open nuts including a nut cracker vice built into the wooden removable tail and a tray to hold all the unopened nuts. Now I just need to go buy some nuts to fill it up.

The Envelope Project...

Well now this sounds like fun :)

Pip over at Meet Me At Mikes has come up with another great idea for everyone to play along with, the Envelope Project. Basically it involves decorating an envelope as cute as possible, popping in a few items such drawings or other wot nots and then posting it to Pip in Melbourne.

All the cute envelopes will be displayed in the Meet Me At Mikes front window and everyone will go in the draw to win all the little bits and pieces posted in all the envelopes. All the full details can be found here at the Meet Me Mikes Blog.
