This is a castle. And we have many tapestries.

This weeks creative space should really revolve around my preparations for the Suitcase Rummage but I thought I might show you a little something else that I have been working on from this wonderful book...

I have always enjoyed needlework such as cross stitch and embroidery but I have never dabbled in tapestry before. After getting Cath Kidston's new book Stitch and falling in love with her union jack designs I though it might be time that I gave it a go.

It is very similar to counted cross stitch but quicker as you don't need to cross all the stitches. It still involves a lot of pesky counting but once you get the main areas in place you can work around them. I also can't help but love stitching in the Kath Kidston colour palette.
