I'm so excited...

and i just can't hide it!

The Suitcase Rummage is this Sunday! If you happen to be in Brisbane please stop by and say hello from 12 noon. I'm sure as always there will be lots of great handmade and vintage items on show. I have been busy making lots of Mo's on sticks (just like the ones on the new poster) and other fun stuff which will be available on the day.

I will hopefully post some pics of what will be available in the coming days.

Today I am in love with...

^ the fact that after two weeks of holidays I did not go back to work and want to cry due to all the work left waiting for me (as happened last year).

^ the fact that the sun is still up by the time I get home and I can at least enjoy the last hour of sunlight.

^the fact Art vs. Science have a kickin new song out and an awesome video to boot.

How about everyone out there, how was your day? Was there anything to love about it? I hope so.

Disclaimer: This outpouring of happiness and light may be shorted lived but hey I am running with it anyway.

and now back to our regular programming...

No I have not been lying in a gutter somewhere or dropped of the edge of the planet but I have in fact been on a much needed holiday. We have been down in Melbourne for the last couple of weeks soaking up the city and enjoying all the culture it has to offer. In all the haste and stress of getting ready to leave I managed to neglect my little blog and those who have been so nice to have been reading my ramblings.

I hope to bring you some great pictures in the coming weeks of all the crafty goodness that I saw and discovered while down in old Melbourne Town. I have a little project in the works based on my travels which I hope will be finished shortly. It should be a busy week next week, back to work and getting all set for the always brilliant Suitcase Rummage on Sunday the 5th of September at King George Square.

August Suitcase Rummage

Brisbane turned on some beautiful weather yesterday for the August Rummage. King George square was filled with people out enjoying the sunshine and browsing all the amazing goods on offer. It was so great to see so many handmade stalls and some of the best vintage items you'll find in Brisbane. I had the pleasure of meeting some great fellow stall holders and had to control myself from buying too much.

I really enjoy creating all my handmade bits and pieces and it was great to see people enjoying them as much as I loved making them. Thanks to everyone that dropped by and said hello or bought a little something.

Don't worry if you missed out, it will all be happening again on the 5th of September!

My creative space...

or should I say mess?

Wow what a busy week it has been. My creative space this weeks is looking rather messy to say the least and unfortunately it is spreading....

to the living room.

A full time job and preparations for a market on the weekend are not a good mix!

Flea Market Finds.....

This week we took a quick trip down to the Chandler markets to pick up some food but as always I could not resist a look in the Trash and Treasure section.

I came across this box sitting on the ground next to one of the stalls and thought I would have a bit of a look. It looked like a chess set or maybe a backgammon game but after opening it I discovered this....

I'm not sure exactly what is but it looks like some kind of artist painting kit. The metal sheet is removable and there are plenty of nifty compartments. It is just what i needed for my market stall to display my magnets and gift tags. I can't wait to break it out next Sunday at the Rummage. All pretty good for $10.
